General
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Batley and cover the whole of West Yorkshire including Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, Halifax, and surrounding towns. We also serve York and Harrogate.
Pressure Washing
What surfaces can you pressure wash?
We clean patios, driveways, paths, decking, tarmac, block paving, natural stone, sandstone, concrete, and more. If you're unsure whether your surface is suitable, just ask — we'll advise.
Gutter Cleaning
How often should gutters be cleaned?
We recommend at least once a year, ideally in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. Properties near trees may benefit from twice-yearly cleaning — spring and autumn.
Booking & Quotes
How do I get a quote?
You can call us on 07356 201798, email enquiries@mowandglow.co.uk, or fill in the form on our contact page. We usually respond within a few hours.
Aftercare
How long will the results last?
This varies depending on the surface, its exposure to the elements, and surrounding environment (trees, shade, etc.). Typically, a professionally cleaned patio or driveway will stay looking great for 1–3 years. Regular maintenance extends this significantly.
Tips & Advice
Leaves and organic debris trap moisture against surfaces, accelerating moss and algae growth. A quick sweep every week or two makes a big difference.
Autumn leaves are the number one cause of blocked gutters. Get them cleaned before the heavy rains arrive to avoid overflow and water damage.
Consumer pressure washers with the wrong nozzle can damage sandstone, render, and wooden surfaces. If in doubt, call a professional — it's cheaper than replacing damaged paving.
The sooner you treat an oil stain on your driveway, the easier it is to remove. Blot up as much as possible and apply a degreaser before the oil penetrates the surface.
Heavy rain and wind can push debris into downpipes. If you notice water overflowing from your gutters after a storm, a downpipe blockage is likely the cause.
Sealing your patio or driveway after professional cleaning protects against future staining and slows down algae regrowth. It's a worthwhile investment.
